EARTHFEST FESTIVITIES, April 6th
This year's event will feature hands on environmental demonstrations, environmental education booths, kids' crafts/entertainment, live music in the amphitheater, plant sale, hybrid car show, wind turbine prototype, large scale complete rainwater system.... too much fun to miss!  Featured entertainer:  Def!nitely, Maybe.

 CLEAN UP-FIX UP-DROP OFF 

During Earthfest, there will also be a drop-off location for those doing their own spring cleaning.  

Location:  Town Center Elementary School parking lot (185 N. Heartz).
Accepting: usable household goods and clothing/shoes, household documents for secured shredding, and bulky trash items for disposal in a large roll-off. 

Not Accepting: construction debris, appliances containing freon, brush, tires, household hazardous waste, paint, or electronics.  For more information about the At Your Door Collection of household hazardous waste and electronics, click here.

 It's time to pitch in to keep Coppell beautiful!  Keep Coppell Beautiful encourages families, scout troups,  schools, and other organizations to get involved beautifying their community by participating in Clean Coppell 2013.  Volunteers are invited to do their part by cleaning up litter, cleaning creeks and waterways, or participating in the Coppell Nature Park's workday on March 23, or other beautification or improvement projects of their choosing. 
 
Click here to register.  Registration closes March 8 at noon.  Registered volunteers receive a free t-shirt and Keep Coppell Beautiful will provide cleanup supplies, such as trash bags and gloves, to the volunteers.
 
Additionally, individuals are welcome to clean up litter in neighborhoods, public areas, or on walks in the park, please take a plastic bag and dispose of properly.  Please help keep our community litter-free!  Reports of illegal dumping can be entered in the online service request, click here.
