Missoula Children's Theatre is a theatre camp located out of Missoula, Montana that travels all over the world giving children the opportunity to act. Each summer at Coppell we host 2 weeks of Missoula for children ranging from 6-18 years of age (1st - 12th grade). Missoula is a huge hit within our community and we are excited that we are able to provide our children with the opportunity to learn and grow in the theatre.

Each week begins on Monday with auditions (pre-registration required) and role placement. Each child is then given a schedule with rehearsal times to follow the remainder of the week. Saturday is the dress rehearsal and performance day.

Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (will vary depending on role)

Saturday, 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.; Performances at 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Is there additional care for before and after the program?

Missoula does have additional care from 7:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.-6:00 p.m. The campers registered for this extra care will need to be dropped off and picked up at the same location. The cost for Missoula Extra is $40/child

How do I register?

To register please visit the Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center, located at 234 E. parkway Blvd., or call 972-304-7077.

How does registration work?

When a child is registered they are placed in their age group (6-7 years, 8-12 years, 13-18 years), there are limited numbers allowed per group and no child will be allowed in another age group. The groups are split up according to the MCT regulations and parts will be decided based on ages.

What do campers need to bring?

Each camper attending Missoula will need to bring a sack lunch, keep in mind there is no way to cool or heat lunches.

What do I do the first day?

Make sure to arrive no later than 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning. When arriving each child must be signed in by a parent/guardian. At pick-up each child must again be signed out by a parent/guardian. Make sure you receive a parent letter both on Monday and Wednesday when picking up your camper.

Performance Videography?

A professional DVD will be available from your child's performance each week. Pick up an order form during the week of camp and on performance night.

Performance Tickets?

Each child registered in Missoula will receive 2 complementary tickets for 1 of the 2 performances. All additional tickets will be $5. Tickets will be available at the camp location beginning the Wednesday of camp. Any one from the community may attend the production on Saturday at 3pm and 6pm.

Interested in hosting tour actors/directors?

Each summer there are 2 tour actors/directors that travel to different cities and towns each week. The tour actors/directors are sometimes far away from home and love to have a family that is willing to host them and give them a place to stay while they are here in the Dallas area.

Requirements: Each tour actor/director will need to have separate private bedrooms and bathrooms (unless couple is married). There are certain restrictions that each person may have, example, no pets, no smoking, etc. The actor/directors are not expecting to be fed, but only to have a place to sleep, shower and a great family to stay with. If you are interested in being a host family for one week (Sunday-Sunday), please contact Sheri Freestone, Recreation Coordinator by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
