Fire Fire Prevention Fire Clowns

Fire Clowns Print E-mail

One of the greatest methods of fire prevention is public education.  A key component of our fire public education is the fire clowns.  The fire clowns are a group of firefighters who don clown makeup and costumes to take the message of fire safety to the children within Coppell.  Each year, the troupe develops a new skit that will be performed during Fire Prevention Month.  Every October, in recognition of Fire Prevention Month, the fire clowns visit every elementary school within Coppell and perform their skit on 'Fire Safety' for students Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  The fire clowns also visit as many day care centers as they can during the month.

The fire clowns also make appearances at city functions such as the 4th of July and Holiday parades, as well as the Clean Coppell / Earthfest and the Fire Department Open House.  While they clown around, these fire clowns are very serious about their mission.
