The CFD includes four divisions; Administration, Operations, Prevention, and Support Services. Our facilities include three fire stations and one administration facility protecting 40,000 residents and the north Texas region. All department members are certified firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and technical rescue specialists. Additionally, the department provides a variety of community education programs that promote fire prevention and life safety initiatives.
In 2008, our department acquired an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification Rating of 1, the best possible rating. The CFD is one of only 51 departments in the United States that has achieved this prestigious rating. To obtain an ISO Class 1 rating, the department maintains the highest standards, as well as having appropriate equipment, staffing, infrastructure, and communication facilities.
Our members remain the foundation of our great organization. Their can-do-attitude and sense-of-community are displayed by every member, every day, and we are committed to continuing the traditions of providing a level of public service that is second to none. To accomplish our mission, we need your support and understanding of our operations. I hope that our web site contributes to building an even better and stronger partnership between us. Please feel free to stop by any of our facilities or contact us at anytime.
