Administrative Technician Parks Department
The City of Coppell is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Technician in the Parks Department. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred. Excellent administrative and technical skills required, including Microsoft word. Keyboard requirement is 50 wpm (computer tested.) Excellent spelling, filing, telephone, and organizational skills, including a strong sense of urgency. Must be able to communicate with elected and public officials, general public and co-workers in a positive manner. Regular attendance is essential. Working occasional evening hours will be required for attending meetings. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation.

RECREATION SUPPORT SERVICES TECHNICIAN
PARKS AND RECREATION
The City of Coppell is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recreation Support Services Technician. The Recreation Support Services Technician must have a high-school diploma or GED equivalent, and a minimum of two (2) years of general experience in facility maintenance, repair, and custodial tasks and methods. Experience with the operation of small hand- and power- tools is required. This employee must be able to maintain good personal hygiene and work habits. Additional desirable qualifications include trade school or college study in a field related to facility maintenance and repair. “Certified Pool Operator” (CPO) by the National Swimming Pool Foundation or “Aquatic Facility Operator” (AFO) certification by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) required, or ability to acquire within six (6) months. Must pass drug screening and background.
Starting Salary: $ 18.10/HR

PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
POLICE DEPARTMENT
The City of Coppell is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or equivalent; one to three years dispatching experience preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain Basic State Telecommunication Certificate within six (6) months. Must have multi-tasking skills and be able to work under pressure. Must be able to pass relevant skill testing and keyboard 30 w.p.m. Clean background required. You may be required to use a City vehicle for business purposes. Please include Driver’s License number with application.
Flexible Starting salary $18.10 per hour

INSTRUCTORS(Group Exercise) Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center
The City of Coppell is accepting applications for Group Exercise Instructors. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Must be drug-free and clean criminal history. Must have good communication skills and ability to deal with general public in a positive and courteous manner. Must be safety conscious, diplomatic and professional , and willing to follow rules and direction of supervisors.
In addition, the Group Exercise Instructor must have experience with health, fitness, sports, nutrition, and education. The employee must also be certified by a nationally recognized organization in the specific area of expertise (i.e. group exercise leadership, seniors, youth, yoga, spin, etc.).

YEAR-ROUND SWIM INSTRUCTORS
PARKS AND RECREATION
The City of Coppell is now accepting applications for Swim Instructors at the Coppell Aquatic and Recreation facility. Minimum qualifications include aptitude and ability for the job, professional appearance, good character and dependability. Must have swim instructor training/certification from a nationally recognized school or organization. CPR is required. WSI and lifeguard training are preferred. Must be an efficient swimmer with prior experience conducting swim lessons for a reputable school, program, or organization under a Director’s supervision. Must be punctual and have excellent organization skills. Must be drug free and have a clean criminal history. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with general public in a positive and courteous manner. Must be safety conscious, diplomatic and professional.
Starting Salary: $12.00 per hour.
