Landfill Use by Citizens

Coppell residents may use the DFW Landfill at NO CHARGE one time per month. The landfill is located at 1600 S. Railroad Street in Lewisville.

Residents must present a driver's license and a current water bill for free access to the landfill. The DFW Landfill will stamp the water bill for free access only once during a month.

All loads must be residential trash and must be tarped. Please note that you may be asked to drive over uneven surfaces at the landfill.

The DFW Landfill is open 24 hours Monday through Friday. On Saturday, the facility closes at 2:30pm and on Sunday; the hours are 7am to 2:45pm. To keep your waiting time at a minimum, you may want to go on a Sunday when commercial truck traffic will be lighter.

Directions from Coppell:

The DFW Landfill is located at 1600 S. Railroad Street in Lewisville. Go North on Denton Tap or MacArthur and turn right on FM 3040/ Hebron Parkway. After the Target shopping Center, turn left at the light at Railroad Street. When you reach the Waste Management hauling company turn off, go right, then straight ahead to the scale house.
