MissionThe mission of Community Organics Recycling Education is to provide demonstrations, information and classes to educate the community on the methods and benefits of recycling yard trimmings and organic materials.
Compost Bins AvailableShepherd Compost Bins are for sale at the Parks and Recreation Department for $50. Shepherd Bins are shown below in the composting photos.
Composting EducationComposting classes are offered by the Coppell Community Garden several times a year. Visit www.CoppellCommunityGarden.org for the upcoming class schedule.
School PartnershipTeachers from Coppell ISD and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD (Riverchase Elementary) have the opportunity to be trained in organic recycling, which includes compost bins, teacher resource library and worm bins. Students have the opportunity to come to the compost demonstration site for tours or service learning projects.
Compost Education SitesCoppell Community Garden hosts the demonstration sites located at the Helping Hands Garden, 255 Parkway Blvd. and the Ground Delivery Garden, 450 S. Denton Tap Rd.
