The Coppell Environmental Health Department is using larvicide in stagnant bodies of water to prevent mosquito eggs from developing into adults. Staff also sets traps citywide, and mosquitoes from those traps are tested on a weekly basis for West Nile Virus. As of May 17th, 2013 all samples have come back negative for West Nile Virus.
