The Texas Open Records Act provides that information in the possession of a governmental body is generally available to the public. Everyone has the fundamental right to know what their elected representatives and governmental bodies are doing.
 

A Request for Public Information can be submitted to the city in several ways. The request must include name, address, daytime telephone number of the requestor and the documents or items requested.
 

The request can be submitted in one of four ways:

• Personal appearance in the City Secretary Department, Second Floor, Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas.
• Via U.S. Mail to the City Secretary Department, City of Coppell, P. O. Box 9478, Coppell, Texas 75019.
• Via Fax to the City Secretary Department, 972-304-3673, Attention: Chiquita Taylor
• Via a Request for Public Information Application on the web.
