Construction Debris

Throughout the year, construction projects are in progress in various locations within the City of Coppell.  Although certain inconveniences are to be expected during any type of construction, there may be circumstances where the accumulation of construction dirt, waste, and debris can become a problem outside of the normal construction operation.

If you have a concern or a complaint because of dirt and debris at a construction site, contact the Building Inspections Department at 972-304-3500, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weekdays.  After hours, a recorded message may be left at 972-304-3542 for non-emergency situations.  Messages will be reviewed and acted upon by City personnel the following business day.

Persons reporting construction-related concerns should provide the following information:

• Your name
• Your address
• Your daytime telephone number
• The location of concern or problem
• A detailed explanation of the problem

An inspector will then contact the responsible individual or company and request a clean-up, if warranted.

Dirt or debris in either vacant lots or properties under site development areas should be reported to the Engineering Department at 972-304-3679.  In developed neighborhoods, dirt or debris in the streets should be reported to the Streets Department at 972-462-5150.
