The Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center has completed their expansion and renovation project and is now fully open to the public!

The facility expansion includes:
• NEW Fitness Center with new state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment
• NEW restrooms and Family Changing Rooms in Fitness Center area
• NEW aerobics room
 

The renovated portions of the existing facility include:
• A second (enclosed tube) water slide added to the outdoor slide tower
• A new indoor water slide with separate run-out area
• NEW children’s water play structure in outdoor kiddie pool
• Multipurpose meeting rooms/classrooms
• NEW aerobics room (converted from original weight room)
• Locker rooms and shower areas
• Lobby and check-in area
• Exterior pool restrooms
 

The Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center opened its doors in 2000 and has since served the community as the only public recreation and aquatic center. Voters established the Coppell Recreation Development Corporation in the 1996 election authorizing the collection of a half-cent sales tax dedicated to the construction of the center. The original cost of the center was $7.9 million. The Coppell Recreation Development Corporation was formed to oversee the distribution of the half-cent sales tax. This volunteer committee is made up of citizens and City staff.
